Asking Questions Using The Chat Screen For workshops, lectures, classes, and software demos we will be working only the chatroom for our school. The teacher will be the only one with the capacity to use an audio microphone. If the student wants to ask a question he will have to use the following method.
Click on the icon of the little guy with his hand raised in the lower right-hand corner of the chat dialog box.
This will send an alert to the teacher that someone wants to ask a question. The teacher will check the 'check dialog box' and see your question. Then the teacher will reply to your question verbally. Important: Make sure that you see the icon of the little guy with his hand raised at the bottom right of the dialog box. If you don't please do the following: Right-click on the empty gray space next to the camera icon, move to gimmickry and click on it to enable it. Now you will see that little guy at the bottom of dialog box. When you type a question in this dialogue box all of the attendees in the classroom will see it. You may also chat with other students during the break and before and after class. Many of our students come from all over the world and friendships have already been made in our previous class! If you chat with others while the class is going on the teacher has the perogative to close you out of class.
